The Herald reported Luongo rejected Florida's latest offer of four years at $6.25 million per season.

If the Wings are unable to swing a deal for Luongo, other goalie trade options include Buffalo's Martin Biron, Boston's Andrew Raycroft, Anaheim's Jean-Sebastien Giguere, Montreal's David Aebischer and San Jose's Evgeni Nabokov. Unrestricted free agents include Martin Gerber of Carolina, Dwayne Roloson of Edmonton, Cristobal Huet of Montreal, Ed Belfour of Toronto and John Grahame of Tampa Bay.

Sources said the Wings have absolutely no interest in Gerber, whom they don't view as an upgrade over Manny Legace, and will avoid Giguere because of his chronically sore hip.
